2007 - Advanced Training Workshop

“Crime Scene Investigation - Removing the Misconceptions”

Real world crime-solving is not like CSI.  People often have unrealistic expectations that DNA, fibers, fingerprints and other evidence can be recovered at every crime scene.   That's not always possible.  This one-day workshop will give participants more in-depth knowledge about blood analysis, drug identification, ballistics, and finger printing.  Participants will gain knowledge about the K-9 Unit, computer forensics and the work of a forensic artist.  In addition, it will give them knowledge about the crime lab and what occurs during the course of an investigation.

Date/Location:

Friday, April 27, 2007
Oakland County Sheriff's Office
Technical Services
Forensic Science Laboratory – Building 38 E
1200 North Telegraph Road
Pontiac, Michigan
